In the marriage story star actress Scarlett Johansson and Adam driver, a married couple, one a stage director and the other an actress who seem to fall out of love somewhere in their marriage and follow through with a divorce. This by far has been one of the most truthful love movies I’ve ever watched. It captures the highs and lows in every relationship but leaving the viewer to decide what result they should take in the end. Leaving you with the question Is giving up really the last option? All while stressing the idea that sometimes giving up is the only option. The movie does a great job of making a difficult viewing experience worth the pain to see how people can keep living life when life is determined to beat the spirit out of you.

Don’t fuck with cats (hunting an internet killer)

Don’t fuck with cats is a cat serial killer documentary series that involves a widespread internet group of animal lovers hunting down one of the craziest people walking this earth. Luka Magnotta is the person they end up capturing, he has killed and tortured numerous cats and has done it while going live, he then goes on to kill a human being. Overall the message the group is trying to convey is extremely confusing. A whole show was created to discuss what this person was doing, but my question becomes why having knowingly that that was all like Magnotta wanted. He wanted more fame. That was his ultimate end goal. Netflix shined an even bigger light on the killer rather than cherishing the lost life that was taken in the hands of the killer himself.  In the last episode, the last thing a member of the group asks the screen is where we complicate to Lukas crimes. She questions whether we are all pawns of being used to help the serial killer tell his story. Did we feed his narcissism that he had to go forward? Did we feed the monster, or did we create it? If I was personally being asked this I would answer yes.
